I had a meeting up at the university this morning, then I went into town to meet up with Luis Pereira, who bought me a nice meal in an Italian restaurant in the centre of Lisbon. This is only the second time I've met with Luis: the first time was in December 2006 when he, Ana Carlota and I went for a stroll around Belém. A great meal and good company - who could possibly ask for more? I had a choice of what to do after lunch: go back to the the office or not go back to the office. I chose the latter, and decided to go for a wander and take some photos (something I've not really done for some time now). I wandered about the centre of the city, from Restauradores down to Praça do Comércio, then up Rua Augusta to Rossio then up to the Chiado and Praça Camões, then down to R. Conceição and up to Praça Figueira and then on up past the cathedral to Santa Lúcia and on to Chapitô where I met up with Sílvia for dinner and a Dadaist show by Chapitô's students. Surreal.
