I got a big kick out of this shot. I set myself the task a year or two ago to learn Japanese kana. The irony being that I can say the sounds that each syllable sign stands for, but I haven't gotten to the point of learning the words. (The kanji symbols...no real progress on those yet, I'm afraid.) Still, it's a great treat to see the kana in use, especially on such a unique sign. Here in the States such a sign would be far more likely to read, "No Loitering!" It seems wonderfully revealing that the Japanese would have to be waved off from the relatively well organized activity of baseball rather than the disorganized hanging out that is more likely here. Plus, the little batter on the sign is cute.
