Looking Through the Floor of the Walking Bridge

This is the view that scared the heck out of me as a kid.
I literally had to cross this bridge on my hands and knees
the first time I crossed it.

Years later, it seems silly that it would have bothered me at all.

It seems like we are always progressing and growing as human beings,
and no matter how old we are, there are things in our life that scare us,
that we will eventually understand and will someday wonder
why that particular thing bothered us or scared us.

We are all "small children" in some ways our entire life.

I agree that it's interesting to see how we change over time. A fear of heights is still with me: last year I was nervous on a catwalk about 60 feet above the ground:http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/71808661 .
