This is an excellent photograph! There is much going on. The shadows of the bare trees, the rake, the one leaf. Great composition! It is not about the rake!

What gets me here is the leaf caught in the rake... :)
Another great study of shadows, where the intertwined patterns of shadows & wood textures create a superb graphic mood.

I love the mix of shadows lines on the wood's one... and the presence of the leaf. Great impact work!
Guest 02-Feb-2006 21:58
not sure which one I prefer this one or the axe - the presence of the axe is strong in the previous photo due to your excellent perspective and DOF but this one takes me to another place and I tend to favor that...

browsing the comments.. the rake and it's shadow only wouldn't be original. Here, the other shadows of the pergola(?) and the leafless climber give more of a story. btw, I wish this was mine too :))

This is good . Only my opinion, but the rake and rake shadow are fine, the thick angled shadows are great. The wood is too blown and I like the wood , shame ! Its the mish mash other shadows that I find distracting. But its still great and I wish I had taken it! Well done .

Great shot. The left over autumn leaf gives a nice touch.

Excellent graphics ! I like it!

You have a big point there Galina. We probably differ a lot to that respect. I don't have the talent to accurately and efficiently picturing a lot of different elements in one image.

You have a great sunshine in your Texas, I almost can feel physically this light

Jeroen (aka SimplePhotography): I like to know your opinion, but with my love to complications is not it would be too simple? :) Many thanks to you all!!

Lovely Shadows!

Nice lines, good contrasts.
Guest 30-Jan-2006 08:55
This is good, but I think the impact would have been awesome and very very strong with only the rake and its shadow on a wall. Don't let my opinion bother you though.
