hahah - that is the opposite of rubbish! It is a cage left there by the PLA in anticipation of a team of rubbish collectors filling it with rubbish from the foreshore. The "volunteers" are usually organised by Thames21 and in this location from the local Portuguese church (I joined them once at this location and have done similar at others). It was left there at high tide and you will note the lifesaving ring attached so that it can be "found" when it comes to be picked up again at high tide. Nico
