Yours truly on the summit. About fifteen feet (4.5m) behind me is a sheer drop-off of 300 feet
(92m). I wear gaiters when hiking to keep pebbles, sticks, dirt, mud, and snow out of my socks
and boots. They also prevent ticks from getting inside my pants and crawling up my legs.
