Death of a Plane (*)

Tucson

This photo was taken of one of the many Tucson scrapyards, who have the job of destroying obsolete military planes. I think the one in the photo is a C17 Globemaster. Just up the road from where this was taken is the Pima Air and Space Museum who have an astonishing collection of aircraft, it seems that when AMARC choose to scrap planes, they keep one example for themselves and give one to the musuem.

Lonnit, Lonnit, We are all Mum & Dad photographers don't take the word photojournalism too much to heart. The best shots so far are snapshots of where posters live, it’s really interesting to see some of their daily lives. I visually know a bit about Tucson now:-)

Ok, now THIS I get as photojournalism. Rod's approved others that I didn't think would be. I've got to figure this out. Good shot! BTW, thanks a lot for the satelite view site b/c I wasted an hour there last night! It's very addictive! ~ Lonnit
