Nice pensive portrait. I like how we can see the structure of her irises. Your close crop is perfect.

Hi Olaf,
We adopted Rosie 3 years ago. She was a stray that someone dumped off at a small deli. She is a sweetie! I didn't use a reflector. She was standing in a bay window and I assume that is the reflection of the white wood from the base of the bay window. She ignores the camera so I had to let out a few strange sounds to get her to look at me! Roberta

Seriously Roberta, this is more than a mere cat photo, which is why I called it a portrait. Love the expression on Rosie's face here - speaks volumes - and probably says even more to anyone who knows her. The lighting is great too! From the reflection in her eyes, it looks like you were using some kind of reflector - or is that just a light colored, sunlit floor? She looks to be an experienced lady. I know this is a question you shouldn't ask a lady, but how old is she? - and what is the translation factor between human-years and cat-years? --Olaf

The Phat Cat has been working out again. Nice catch.
Teapot.

Beautiful shot Roberta, a little unfair because cats are always winners.

Great portrait Roberta! How do you make Rosie patiently pose like that? Did she attend modeling school? ;-) --Olaf
