This looks like it could have been shot with Kodak Tri-X film! Beautiful B&W toning, lonnit, however you acheived it!

I did lots of experimentation on this shot. It was not intended to be BW at all. I got the shot and loved it in-camera. On monitor, it showed though, that it wasn't sharp enough. I started to work it a bit then slammed it shut, disappointed. Later I was experimenting with a new BW technique I was trying to work out and I just needed to grab a shot to play with. I wanted a portrait and this was all I had handy. I played and played - can't even begin to tell you what I did - but when it got to this point I thought to myself, "Hey, I salvaged it!". I thought it interesting enough that I wanted to enter it. I just liked its overall feel. So, whatever key I'm in, I'm singing with joy that I was able to turn it into something I didn't feel obligated to trash. :) ~ Lonnit

Yeah, I didn't explain myself did I. I know it's *not* a high key shot, what I meant was that the way the girl is exposed seems like it's leaning towards high-key. I think... :)

Phil: High Key? - Karthik.

OK, once again I'll take an opposite stand... to me, there's not enough contrast and/or the exposure isn't right. If it were a deliberately high key shot, then fair enough, but I don't think that's what you were aiming for. I suspect the original, if worked with, could be even better. Phil
