Natural Neon by Slartibartfast

This selective colour thing is not really my cup of tea, and so far I have failed to find any striking 'full colour' images that I can enter, so in the meantime if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Thanks, Adrian/John. It's a damselfly so the wings fold above the body when at rest - unlike a dragonfly whose wings stick out to the side. Rather than faff around with selections, I reduced the background to B&W by reducing green and yellow saturation to zero. SB

Hi Slartibartfast,
Thanks for coming to the party anyway, and I'm sure you'll find just the right full colour pics that work the way you want them to before the next weekend is done. I love your effort here anyway, once I found the wings safely intact that is. ;o)
Cheers, John

subtle & striking composition - works v.well in this way - i feel your pain - i'd not attempted this selective colour thing before this challenge - it has opened my eyes for how to use it in other contexts tho.
