The thing that is unique about this cemetery is that it is right on
the shore near the Mala wharf in Lahaina.
It is unfortunately seeing the effects of time, and occasionally,
tide. The sands are shifting, and the occasional storm sees high
surf wash through the cemetery. Graves have been uncovered, some
have been buried deeper under shifting sands and some have been
completely washed out to sea.
Many of these graves go back to the late 1800's and early 1900's.
