Ed Iten makes his way through the tundra at the end of the 2004 Kobuk 440 race, finishing in Kotzebue. Early breakup (global warming!) made the trail a soft one and melted all the snow in some sections. Iten is from Kotzebue. He also won the Kusko 300 this year and was fifth in the 2004 Iditarod.
