Luton Airport

Luton airport is only 4 miles away to the north and I can see the aircraft taking off from the study.
Fortunately the runway is east west so we are not bothered by noise.

Nice capture Chris! Reminds me that in San Diego this summer there was some lights we'd stop at that were very close to the end of the runway (well were AT the end of the runway!) for San Diego airport. Often while we waited for the lights to change an airliner would come in to land. Always thought of having the camera ready but never did as looking through windscreen would be the undercarriage of a plane coming in to land! Always seemed quite dramatic though guess you get used to such things? I look forward to more of this type of shot Chris.

Terrific! I've tried to take pictures of landing plans and have not been successful. I love this angle .. the towers add interest and the head on perspective is a winner. Nice.
