Continuing on the egg theme, this one is for Linda. The perfect poached egg, no poacher, no vinegar, just cracked into a pan of boiled water and left to cook for as long as it takes to make and butter the toast. A little salt and freshly ground black pepper and there we have it, this morning's breakfast!

I remembered this last night this spectacular image and made it for my dinner. Delicious!

Oh gosh, this is fantastic. You set this shot up so wonderfully! This is just how I like my eggs.

Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes! Absolutely the best - good to see properly ground black pepper too......oh but you need a breadmaker!

Thank you for my egg - I can't tell you how much I appreciate it now, sitting at my desk at work!

This is a great shot, Ian. Agree with Pall that you could have eeked out a bit more punch with some fiddling, given the circumstances of cooked eggs waiting on your breakfast plate, I'd be as inclined as you to PASS on the fiddling! LOL

Oh man, I'm hungry!! Very nice shot!

Thanks for that Nikki. Just done a quick search for 'delia+asparagus' on Google and found that recipe, click HERE if you'd like the link. I'm definately going to try that one!

Looks SCRUMMY!! I recently stumbled on a recipe for eggs (poached of fried) on asparagus, with a balsamic vinegar sauce and parmesan shavings all over the top. It's really tasty, and ideal as a Saturday lunch on a rainy day! I think it's a Delia.
Very nice photo,Ian!

The problem with food photography.. you get distracted and have to EAT IT! :)

Great shot. The addition of the knife adds to the photo. I usually don't put utensils into the picture, but this one works.

You are absoutely right Pall, I quickly set this one whilst the eggs were cooking. I only took two shots as I couldn't wait to tuck in! Mmmm Yum!!

Hi Ian
You got a very god framing here and the lighting is good. Would have tried it with a tipod to get more DOF, using smaller f-stop, as the part nearest you seems to be a bit out of focus.
