As much as I had hoped the Baby Kim lilac would miraculously continue to leaf out - despite 3/4 of her branches being dried, dead and snappable https://pbase.com/britestar/image/176254479 - she never did. Instead, she continued to completely die.

At least, her friend the bunny came through the winter with flying colors. He is now holding the space next to her. Hopefully, he'll have a healthy new leafy companion this summer who will then be with us for many years to come.
