One of the other fun things to do here is to hop on board this raft, preferably with a friend or two, and pull yourselves across to the far side of this oh so incredibly deep "lake". (Yes, you'd be lucky for it to be knee deep.)

In fact two of our group had just finished doing that. Upon reflection, it's a pity that they came from the far side rather than the other way around because as you can see in this shot, if you head in the direction that I'm looking you have a spectacular view that you're heaving towards.

Up on the left of the frame you can see the Saussurea Alpine Botanical Garden's main area, which we'll be visiting a little bit later.
