One of the things i like to do is "visit" my photos in Lightroom. There are 252,537 of them with almost all keyworded. It is lots of fun. When I first got started in digital photography I was of the mind that nothing beats a hard copy of a photo. That is still true, but it depends on what your objective is. Today I just wanted to have fun looking at my photo collection. During the exercise (I do it quite often) I often find keyword errors and correct them. That is a definite upgrade to the database. Lightroom is a decent photo editor, but more importantly it is a first rate database manager. Many thanks to my good friend Dave Beedon for pointing it out to me many years ago.
Anyway, today I started looking at photos of Ginny and myself. I have a special keyword to that: JC&VC. There are 6477 photos which have that keyword. I found the first one (top) and the latest (bottom). The first one is from 1973 on our first big date: a weekend trip to Martha's Vineyard. The latest was last month at a wedding in Wilmington. Lots of stuff has happened over the 50 years between photos. One thing that hasn't changed is that Ginny is a hot babe.
