Judges Comments

(i) Content (story, mood etc): A light-filled, cheery and colourful food photography image showing us the colours, shapes and textures of spices from around the world
(ii) Composition: Good, complex composition based on pattern of interlocking squares and rectangles with the herbs on the bottom right breaking up the pattern, so my eye travels into and around the display
(iii) Technical (lighting etc): Good, subtle backlighting that draws attention to the colours, shapes and textures of the subject. Perfect for a book on food!
