I can see this shot being the most popular one in this gallery, and not because of the lady on the Mio 100 moped.
It's the Fiat behind, of course, that will attract all of the attention.
Maybe.
So here we are back on the Corso Buenos Aires, with the Hotel Galles, from which I set out about 40 minutes earlier, in the background.
I mentioned in an earlier shot (1795) that it seemed safe to cycle on the back streets of the Buenos Aires district. I'm not sure I'd want to try it on the main street. I'm DAMN sure I would not want to try it without a helmet, which would be illegal in Australia, though I do get that with hair like that La Signorina may not want to get is mussed up under a helmet. I'm still not sure that it's worth the risk, though. However she's not the only one. It may not be obvious or easily visible in the gallery sized image, but there is another youngish woman on a bicycle behind the aforementioned Fiat, similarly bare headed. Cycling has more of a history in many European cities, so I imagine that there is more awareness on the part of all road users. Still, it takes only one moment of inattention...
This was the end of my pre-breakfast walk. Later in the day we would head up to the Brera district, and from there head south west down to the Brera district, the Castello Sforzesco and Parco Sempione. That would come later, however.
