While altitude would be interesting, there's little reason for an automatic transmission to have a gear indicator when shifting for itself (gear is displayed when the shifter is in manual mode). Paul, some systems "see" better in fog than others. I'm glad your wife's Hyundai has one of the good ones. I think the automotive market is more competitive than the camera market. Everyone is rushing to have the first/most/best. I remember my first car with ABS. That was a revelation. Still, I managed pretty well before then. Dave

Dave if I criticized you for photographing while speeding I’d be a hypocrite. I used my wife’s car to drive to the airport late one very foggy night to pickup my daughter. That self driving/ steering feature was phenomenal and her car, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson SE is the entry level trim. I was shocked they added that feature on a 25K vehicle. Paul

Thanks for not criticizing my shooting-while-driving or speeding. I also like the display. I've had the car nearly 18 months, and between not commuting and fewer trips I'm way under my (still kind of low) lifetime average of 10,000 miles per year. My car's self-steering requires the driver's hand (although I suppose a passenger could reach over) at all times and must be monitored in the event it disengages. While I truly enjoy driving (i.e., not having the car drive itself at all times), I'm looking forward to having even more technology. How many of you use a dashcam? Dave
