While waiting for a car repair I took a 90 minute walk through an industrial
area of Campbell River, and then through the Baikie Island Nature Preserve.

The red building is a furniture store. There is a totally different feeling
down here compared to the store parking lot not too far away.

The pole that a couple of viewers asked about is not a totem pole, but a
metal pole with a sculpture of a raven on it. This section of the nature
preserve is called Raven Trail.

Best viewed at original size.

Nice idyllic spot. You should suggest this walk to the car repair place. Beats sitting in the waiting room.

Great capture of this beautiful scene, and I too was wondering about what looks like a totem pole. V.

Is that a totem pole with a replica raven on it, to left just behind the bench?

Cool image. V
