This morning I was working on my family video project. At this point I am going through each of the tapes and writing down times and activities as a sort of index. For about the fourth time in the last month or so, the audio on my computer went TU. (I am using VLC Media Player which seems to be the source of the problem). The first time it happened I found a website that had a procedure to fix it and it worked. Fortunately, I bookmarked the site so I could find it again.

Over the almost 40 years I have had a personal computer I have been finding ways to either make things happen or fix things. I would write them down somewhere that insured I would never find it again. So if there were a reoccurrence, I would just have to look it up again.

Well, this morning I decided to just write down the steps of the procedure on an index card and put it away in a box of computer stuff I keep near the computer. If I had started at the outset, it would have been great. So, here is the first procedure in my future collection of useful procedures.
