Another Friday in Lent. That means no meat. I am a little confused because fish is really meat, isn't it. Doesn't matter. Today we prepared some really nice catfish in the oven. This "oven fried" method works well because you get a nice crispy crust on the fish. So we both had catfish. Ginny wanted asparagus, so I said go ahead, but I am not going to eat asparagus again. My choice of a side was a black bean dish made with onions and garlic. It was very tasty. Now everybody was happy. Ginny had her asparagus and I had anything but asparagus. BTW - I make a really good tartar sauce to go with the catfish.
