Keller Mae is a red double merle Australian Shepherd.
Born deaf due to improper breeding of parent dogs,
she was dropped off at a rescue service in March of
2020 by her owners at 2 years of age. It's hard for dogs
to be left behind by their families, They don't
understand why they are put into kennels without the
comforts of their previous lives never to see their
pack again suddenly losing all they knew as their life...
Deaf dogs are harder for shelters to place into homes,
but Keller was fortunate I was able to get her out of
there without her spending more than 2 weeks in her
unfortunate situation. Deaf dogs learn as well as hearing
dogs. At this time, (now 3 years of age) she has been
with me for exactly 9 months and knows multiple commands.
I'll be creating a gallery for Keller and those who want
to follow up on all she has learned and her progress as
time passes.
