"Welcome to Mars. It's another planet here."

Those were the words of our tour director as we pulled into Napoli for the first time. He was right.

This picture tells you some of the key things that you need to know about Napoli:
- If you want to get from the nice part of town to the seedy part of town, walk 50 metres. Then keep walking. Fast.
- Open urban space is for wimps.
- Let it all hang out. But with a sense of order.
- You can appear to be alone. But with the city jammed in the way it is, you never, ever are.

Naples is one of the strangest, craziest, most intriguing cities I have yet to encounter . Everyone should go there at least once.
