Just to put the scooter thing in context, here we can see some of them ducking and diving around the traffic flow along the Via Carbonara. It's true that we were heading from afternoon into evening in this shot (hence the headlights), though the darkness here was mostly from shadows from the buildings. As we'll see in upcoming shots, the sky was still fairly bright.
