Not my greatest shot of a Great Blue Heron, but a "feel good" photo from Stay-at-Home isolation.

Today's coronavirus news is that the United States has set itself up for a model of how NOT to handle a pandemic. Details can be found in any legitimate news source. "The Florida Department of Health has reported at least 15,299 new Covid-19 cases, the highest number of new cases in a single day by any state since the coronavirus pandemic began. Still, Disney World reopened today. Across the country, more than half the states are dealing with increased rates of new cases compared to last week. Deaths are also going up. Now, some state and local leaders are at odds over what to do next."

I absolutely was not expecting a Heron to fly over head just before sunset. He was pretty much up there is the stratosphere; probably hurrying back to his night nesting place. I was photographing something else, and add no time to change the camera settings. Fortunately, an instinctual reflex got me the above image. I didn't have time to think. The photo is not at all close to magazine quality. Still, it is a reminder that even with being stuck at home, wildlife photo opts will still come to you. "Staying safe" doesn't mean totally giving up all of your former life.
