Encountered on my neighborhood walk today.
I was surprised that he allowed me to get so close. Both Bella and Bailey (in the stroller) were barking to beat the band - not at the Heron but at other people also walking their dogs across the dam. Needless to say, I was a little embarrassed about the girls naughty behavior, but I still ignored them & just concentrated on getting a shot of the Heron. Usually, herons don't like to be in the middle of so much human activity. This one actually didn't either. So he flew off after I got my shot.
