Asteroid moth caterpillar (Cucullia asteroides), #10200

Reveler Conservation Area

These moth caterpillars can be this colour, or more commonly, green and yellow, but their pattern can vary somewhat, as can the colours. The head, by the way, is at the top!

When I was a child a carnival with various rides came into town and they had one called, I believe, the caterpillar. It was like a train and had an awning that would be pulled over the cars. These colors remind me of that ride. What a memory - this was about 65 years ago...caterpillar it was, but the one in this video has plainer in color! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q72YOMAZgU
