Asteroid moth caterpillar (Cucullia asteroides), #10200

Reveler Conservation Area

These are often called goldenrod caterpillars because that is where they are generally found, although this one was on an aster. Most of the time these common caterpillars are bright green and yellow, but sometimes the pink form is found.

We could call it "goldenrod" for its markings, too. 'Tis a remarkably pretty caterpillar.
