We have not really attempted to do anything with our garden since arriving here. It started with lack of funds preventing it and has progressed through lack of time to building site. In the front garden there is a small drift of Nigella (or love-in-a-mist or black seed) that looks as though it arrived there by magic. It’s a plant whose seed heads are every bit as gorgeous as the flowers. This one has been adopted by some sort of spider as its home and it has built an amazingly complex web around the structure. I’ve walked past it many times over the last couple of weeks and thought “that’d make a good pic” and now I can’t work out whether the gauzy web is out of focus or whether it’s the gossamer strands of the web making it look out of focus. Either way, it’s still an interesting image hence its inclusion…
