We do love a good beer festival…and this is a very good beer festival. This is our second consecutive year in attendance. You’ll note the well-thumbed beer guide on the table, the happy smiles on the faces of Colin and David and the general air of well-being. The day is a scorcher – so much so that being inside the marquee is deffo preferable to being incinerated outside. A little after this shot was taken, the steel will of David was broken when he succumbed to the “artisan” crisp seller whose stall was behind me and therefore directly in his line of sight and the first of several family bags was consumed. Yum. Well, there were so many unusual flavours we just had to sample a good few!

In a slightly longer while a chariot took us home (taxi to some) and we rounded off the day with chilli and rice washed down with a bottle of red. I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise that none of us saw 10pm!
