Pierce School: Basement unit

This is one of the units in the basement, where a gym is also located. I liked this condo because of all the exposed brick and a separate bedroom, quite different from the classrooms above. I also thought the entry to the bathroom was interesting.

I don’t have the exact measurements for this condo, but the units other than the penthouse ranged in size from 750 to 1,775 square feet and in price from $359,000 to $699,000.

We attended an open house of the entire Pierce School Lofts building last weekend and were given permission to photograph whatever we wanted.

The Pierce School was built in 1895, bought by the owners in 2000 for $275,000 as a flooded and rodent infested shell and converted to condos in 2005. All the units are for sale, ranging in price from $359,000 to $699,000 for the lower lofts and $3,399,000 for the 9,500 square foot penthouse.

very unusual this renovation, I think it feels cold when you have to live there, but a beautiful composition Helen BV

A curious way to handle the finish carpentry/masonry in the basement unit! And a good find on your part! V

Definitely a bit on the rustic side for that amount of cash, and probably an acquired taste.
