Day 7 - There was a lot of progress today. The carpenters finished reinforcing the joists in the garage and got started on the new floor in the room above. A couple new lights were installed in the attic. The insulators did their thing in very short order and a bunch of dry wall was delivered. In just a few more days the garage will be completely finished, painted and all. Next objective is the kitchen and bathrooms. That will start with demolition which I am not looking forward to. We have lived here over 36 years, and seeing our rooms demolished is not going to be fun.

Today's photo demonstrates the expedient way to get long flooring boards up to the office on the second floor. I thing these boards are 14 feet long. We were relieved that the guys weren't going to try taking them up the interior stairs.
