18-JAN-2017 Ginny

January 18, 2017

Day 8 - It was a busy day here. All of the flooring on the second floor was finished. It is very nice. They also installed some lights in the attic. That is a very good thing. The major thing was getting the dry wall installed, taped and floated. By late in the day all of that was complete. Tomorrow is a drying day. All the float needs a day to dry before the painting starts on Friday. After that there are doors to install and electrical stuff to be finished. We are close to the end with the garage. For Ginny and I the next big step is moving all the garage stuff out of the container and back into the garage. After that we need to move lots of stuff in the house so that the Kitchen, dining room and bathroom project can get going. I think that it may be a week or so before that starts.

The installers wore masks.
That was yesterday.

Sorry. I can only see one face. Maybe the others are wearing them.

Coming right along. I'm curious why no masks
working around that insulation?

All the stuff is in the storage container.
It will be returned to its rightful
place next week.

An empty garage is a terrible waste of space. A
garage packed to the ceiling with stuff is better.

That is an outside wall where you see no insulation.
No waterproof barrier because the insulation is between the house and garage.

John, it doesn't look like the insulation fills all the joists, and shouldn't there be a waterproof barrier somewhere there.
