Day 6 - After a weekend hiatus, the crew is back today. They got here pretty early (7:30) which I like. The major effort for these guys today continues to be reinforcing the joists. Once that part is done, they can move on to the next phase. This afternoon the electrician came and installed some new lighting and switches. There is some more electrical work to be done in this part of the house. We are waiting on the lighting fixtures to arrive. They can't be installed, however, until the insulation, sheet rock and painting is done. Tomorrow the insulation guys are coming as well as the sheet rockers. The carpenters have one more thing to do in this phase of the project and that is install a floor in the room above the garage. Looks like most of the stuff will be done by the end of the week. Next week some time they are going to start the demolition in the kitchen and bathrooms.

It does feel good to have things going smoothly, so far. The apprehension of getting going was a little troublesome. I sleep better at night. Now Ginny has to finish with the designer so we can start ordering tile.
