We went to the National Botanic Garden again today, but due to traffic and a lack of parking because of the impending inauguration on Friday, had to park quite a distance away, and passed the US Capitol on our way to and from the botanic garden.

There must be a thousand seats set up in front of the building, with almost as many portable toilets. The entire area around the Capitol is a mess. I can’t wait until this whole thing is over, although four years is a long time to wait...
