The Hajj

On the day before we left Riyadh for good, we were provided with a driver to take us wherever we wanted to go. One place was the National Museum of Saudi Arabia for a final visit.

There was an outstanding exhibit on the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah required of all Muslims once in their lifetime if they are able to do it. This was a photograph in the exhibit of the Hajj, although I don’t know what year it was taken. About 2 million Muslims from Saudi Arabia and around the world perform Hajj every year.

Amazing! Have to laugh at David's comment... Ikea on a Sat. morning is only marginally less busy. V
