On the day before we left Riyadh for good, we were provided with a driver to take us wherever we wanted to go. One place was the National Museum of Saudi Arabia for a final visit.
There was an outstanding exhibit on the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah required of all Muslims once in their lifetime if they are able to do it. This was some of the fine work in the exhibition hall, which I assume is a reproduction from The Prophet’s Mosque (below) in Medina for the special Hajj exhibit. The one word I can read in Arabic, Allah, is written in the small disks.
