Real Saudi souvenirs!

They even had a gift shop with real souvenirs at the fort – something you don’t find very often in Riyadh. It was sponsored by the Tourism Ministry and everything is said, at least, to have been made in Saudi Arabia. We managed to buy a few things for people back home.

I want thank everybody for the many kind comments about my Saudi galleries. I’m so very happy that people have enjoyed them, and am grateful that I could provide some insight into to what this closed country is like. As I said before, my pictures from Riyadh will continue for a while as I don’t want to waste them just because I’m no longer there, plus I took some new shots our last full day in Riyadh (which I haven’t even looked at yet).

Those are very attractive. Was that big cabinet also a souvenir for sale? It is gorgeous! ~BV~

Glad you found some souvenirs. They don't really have any tourism as I understand it.
what an interesting colorful cabinet! V

I'm so glad you will continue posting SA shots. As for the gift shop... I would be hard pressed to not buy everything! Love that cabinet, and the lamps especially. A lovely colourful shot. V

I'm 100% sure I'd have gotten a couple of those lamps, as nightstand lamps, on either side of a fire place or whatever etc.
