Light

A couple of silly pictures that I just happen to like. Somebody had asked if these triangular openings, which appear on many buildings, are for light. I would say they are, although not a lot of it.

We’re leaving tomorrow night, and before then I have to repack all my clothes and other belongings, wash the embassy’s linens, clear out the refrigerators, clean up the piles of sand Sahraa has deposited all around the house in the one day since our housekeeper was here and anything else that needs doing. I’ll have my laptop until the bitter end, though, so will probably still be around Pbase till evening. It will be a long and difficult trip, especially for Sahraa…

We went out today for one last tour of Riyadh, even to a very rich new neighborhood, so I now have even more pictures left than before. As I said on a previous picture, these Saudi galleries will be continuing for the foreseeable future!

I have always liked their use of triangles in their designs. V
I will be thinking about all of you and your traveling in the next few days. Give Sahraa a hug from me before she starts her travels. Safe journey to all.
