A medina 'street,' update on Tim

The Fes medina has some 9,100 streets; this is one of them, wide enough for the passage of only one person. I’m not even sure a donkey, the primary means of transport in this car-less walled city, could get through here.

I’ll have to catch up with commenting after I get back from taking Sahraa for a walk. For those who have been asking, Tim still is on crutches and in a wheelchair, and will be for at least another three weeks. The fracture sustained in Morocco hasn’t healed as quickly as expected, so pretty much everything around the house falls to me now, including several hours a day walking the dog (which is killing me time-wise, as much as I love her). It’s incredibly frustrating for Tim not to be able to get around easily, and the inability to drive has also proven problematic in a country where women are forbidden by law to get behind the wheel of a car.

Like one of those old horror movies with walls moving in to squash the heroes - at the moment before the rescue! Super image. V.

Claustrophobic just looking at it. Good find. Vote.

Wow, this looks like one small part of that huge maze! You could certainly get lost very easily.
Tell Tim we are thinking of him and sending him all the best energy for healing!

That is one skinny street. Hang in there - it's got to get better...

nice passage Helen
sorry to hear about Tim, hope is getting better soon so that he can manage it again

Two chubby people might have difficulty passing here :) I do like your shot tho' with the alluring light at the end of the tunnel !! V
PS Sorry to hear of the delayed recovery prognosis :(

a splendidly small gap and thus unusual image format

The light and POV are excellent. V
I am sorry to hear about Tim and I hope he recovers more quickly than thought.

not quite the Champs Elysees of Fes then...empathize with Tim's plight...you just have to tough it out...

Hoping the rest of Tim's healing will pass quickly and he'll soon be happily on two feet.
marie-jose wolff24-May-2015 09:17
a very narrow lane! V

Wonder if it's like an English country lane with "passing places", but here for people not cars! V
Tom LeRoy24-May-2015 07:17
Wow, then you said "narrow" you meant it! Hope Tim gets back on his feet soon. V

So sorry to hear Tim's fracture takes so long to heal. I fully understand the restrictions in Saudi Arabia on women are an extra, unwanted drawback now...

Thanks for the update on Tim. I sympathize with his frustration (and yours!) Sahraa will love you even more for all the walking.
fotabug24-May-2015 05:55

That is certainly one narrow street Helen. Does make for an excellent perspective shot though. V.
