The upland is pretty striking in wintertime. Riding Mountain park makes up pretty much all of the dark area at left,
and extends west from there. The dark arrow points to the northeast corner of the park and the white arrow points to the
lake and park village (where I stayed overnight) near the center of the park's south edge.

This view of Riding Mountain from the plane in March 2014 made me want to visit. There's something fascinating about
