The royal stables at Christiansborg Palace are only open a few hours a day, and only when the horses are in residence. They had just arrived back in Copenhagen from their summer pasture the day before, so we were lucky enough to be able to see them.

After my great experience with the Icelandic horses, I found these to be a bit aloof, except for this one, Amaranta, who was craving attention and some affection.
