Christiansborg Palace of old

This painting of old Copenhagen was on a curved wall of City Hall, and Christiansborg Palace and its monumental tower figure prominently at center.

A view of the palace today is below. The tower looks remarkably the same, despite the fact that the building has been rebuilt several times since 1167 due to fire:

A well captured shot of this beautiful old painting - there appears to be a row of windmills on the distant hill - we haven't progressed that much :) V
