Grindavik fishing port

After having a look at the very touristic Blue Lagoon, we drove to Grindavik, one of Iceland’s most important fishing centers. It was a real working fishing port and quite interesting to spend some time in, watching fishing boats unloading their catches and heading back out to sea. There was hardly a tourist in sight.

Absence of tourists is always a blessing - even when one is a tourist! Lovely image. I still like the Blue Lagoon, crowds and all. Found it fascinating.
