The Hall of Hundred Columns and the Museum with red entrance.
Persepolis (پرسپولیس), literal meaning - "city of Persians".
Founded by Darius I in 518 BC (although more than a century passed before it was finally completed by Artaxerxes I), Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire.
It was built on an immense half-artificial, half-natural terrace, where the King of Kings created an impressive palace complex inspired by Mesopotamian models.
UNESCO declared the Persepolis complex a World Heritage Site in 1979.
