Name after the city's founding brothers, Amerige Heights is a master plan community of 1200+ homes built on the former site of Hughes Aircraft Ground System Group where 11,000 people worked in the late-1980's.
Hughes decided to close most of its operations here in the early 1990's and then sold its defense business to Raytheon, which sold this land to developers.
This is the pedestrian bridge connecting the residential area to the shops of the Amerige Heights Town Center
