Traditional and contemporary

I was able to take only a very few pictures of downtown Al Khobar as we were pressed for time, and even this one was shot while we made a U-turn to get to the shop we wanted to visit.

My sense is, though, that this is a very pleasant tri-city area. The weather was lovely, with a cool sea breeze. It’s definitely worth a return visit, during which I’d like to see the exhibit at Saudi Aramco as well as the beach on the Gulf. Tim wanted to see an oil well, but there were none in sight, even on the approach to the city. Next time, hopefully!
