I was so pleased to see this lovely little flower in my garden that I stopped work and ran to get the D800 to photograph it. There are of course some flowers here, but seeing how we're in the middle of a desert, not an abundance of them.

The landlord installed an irrigation system in our garden which goes on for five minutes every evening, but it's really only enough for the lawn, so I go out every few nights and water the rest. It had been neglected after the previous tenants moved out, and it's amazing what even a tiny bit of water does for these plants. It could be lovely with proper care (and definitely needs an overhaul), so I've decided to hire a gardener as I simply don't have the time (or the desire with the heat) to spend working on it.
